Sometimes you have to try every trick in the book and that’s exactly what we did!  The littlest wasn’t too sure about the whole picture taking thing – such a tough little cookie.  Hey, it happens.  And honestly it’s not uncommon for sessions with toddlers.  Because well… they’re toddlers – they have their own way of going about things and I’m more than cool with that!  I’m always ready to throw out our pre-session plan and you know what?  It always ends up being just as perfect, if not better, anyway.   There were a few tears and facepalms, but *then*… then, there was fun and smiles.  Mom and Dad hung in there with me and it really paid off.  I adore all of the images we got!  They are full of love and happiness and everything this sweet family is.  Take a look at all of the goodness we got!!  LOVE!   [Read more…]

Four generations… all together at once.  Wow, such a wonderful thing to get to help capture!  And since Great Grandma lives so far away, this was also her first time to meet and spend time with these sweet boys.  Dallas was one of the stops along her Texas tour of visiting family and she came just in time for our snow-apocalypse to melt off.  Whew!  So although we were lucky enough to get beautiful sunshine, it was still a bit chilly and definitely muddy.  But these guys were all sorts of awesome so there were plenty of smiles and sweet moments had by all.  Such a special visit that can now always be remembered and shared with future generations to come.  It was an absolute joy to get to work with them!  [Read more…]

It’s always such an honor to get to help capture families when they all come together and I most certainly have a special place in my heart for this one.  They are such dear friends.  I love them and loved getting to have them in front of my camera during their visit to Dallas.  Nana really wanted to have some photos of the whole gang and, of course, with her sweet grands.  Lots of silliness went into the making of these, but hey… no shame in my game. 😉  It made for a fun morning with some of my favorite people, making and preserving memories.  And I know the littles will really enjoy having these when they get older too.  So much happiness.

I’m so thankful for this beautiful family.  Not only are they friends, but they are wonderful supporters of Tressavent Photography and I’m honored that they continue to choose me to capture them.  Somehow we always manage to get the most amazing light and I love all of the color we got to use this year with their fall display.  It really made for a perfect setting.  And it makes my heart so happy that each year, we get such special mom & daughter portraits.  Are they not stunning?!  They have such a strong bond and I know that Ms. L is really going to treasure those images when she’s older.  So sweet, those two.  Thank you, N family for another wonderful session!
