Oh this family… they are the absolute sweetest! You might remember their ‘One’derland session from last year. We had just as much fun this year and not only is little Ms. cutie the BIG *two* now, but she is also going to be a BIG sister this Fall. I’m so excited for their growing family and adore all of the images we got to help document this special time. Mom and Dad are pro’s at being in the moment and allowing me to capture all of the love that they have for each other. There was plenty of laughing, playing and a whole lotta lovin’. You don’t want to miss this fun little video from their session, catch me if you can. And can you believe all of the beautiful light we got?! They were glowing! I’m so glad that we did not listen to the 60 percent chance of rain and thunderstorm weather reports. Which is why I just don’t trust them. From Downtown Dallas to wildflowers, this session was the perfect mix of urban and natural settings for Taylor’s senior portraits. We worked together closely to create a unique session and I could not be happier with how everything turned out. And don’t you just love her in those yellow flowers?! Sometimes getting younger siblings to participate in newborn sessions can be pretty challenging… but WOW, what a sweet big sister M is! She has taken on her new role with so much love that it resulted in nothing short of a magical afternoon of snuggles and lots and lots of kisses. What an honor to get to help capture that for them! I can’t wait for them to look back on these as they get older. Makes me all warm and fuzzy! And those images of Mom with her baby girl? This sweet little one definitely wins the award for smiliest newborn. He was such a happy camper and already has the cutest personality. Mom & Dad have quite the ham on their hands… he was *all* about the camera! Being that we waited around 3 weeks to do his session, we got so many adorable facial expressions and really awesome eye contact. And watching Mom & Dad take it all in was really special, they obviously love him to the moon and back. So very sweet… just check out the below video and see for yourself. … is the love of a family. The way they all look at each other and laugh together, it’s contagious and such a joy to be around. I have been looking forward to this ever since meeting them at big brother’s senior session in the Spring. Now that D is away at college, Mom and Dad wanted to be sure and get everyone together for family portraits during his visit home for Thanksgiving. Such a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday and how thankful they are for each other. It was a real treat to help capture that for them. This guy came into the world like a *boss* at 9lbs 12oz and 22 inches. He is such a sweet, snugly baby with awesome parents that I’m lucky enough to call friends. I couldn’t be happier for them and look forward to watching Baby P grow up. As I sit here writing this, all bundled up from the freezing weather, I can’t believe that we took these just earlier this week in much warmer temperatures. I’m so glad that it worked out the way it did because they live on the most beautiful property… everything was so perfect and Baby P was such a rockstar. And, wowzers, check out those peepers, such a handsome little dude! Big brother still isn’t real sure what to think about all it all, but I know that soon enough they will be best buds. We traveled down the lane of arches and changing trees to explore the land of magic mirrors, secret gardens, obstacle castles and book mountains – oh my! It was a beautiful morning full of adventure and a whole lotta loving. I instantly fell in love with this sweet family and little cutie totally melted me. She taught me all about how the chicken goes cluck, cluck and gave me the rundown on all of the characters from her favorite Mickey Mouse movie. As much as I love all things sunny, I’m also quite partial to lovely overcast days as well. You get such soft, filtered light and at this session we got to use some areas that I normally can’t touch because the sun is usually too strong… bonus!! It was a nice afternoon spent in Downtown Dallas with this soon-to-be graduating senior. I enjoyed hearing about his plans for college and listening to his great accent. 😉 He was super easy going and great to work with, much like his brother. It’s no secret that I love shooting at The Cotton Mill so I was thrilled when she decided to do her session there and I love that she was willing to try out a new outdoor location with me too. It was the most perfect ending to a wonderful afternoon together. We had lots of ooooo and ahhhh moments sneaking peeks of the back of the camera and maybe even some holding back of tears from Mom. I can’t blame her, she has so much to proud of during such an exciting time in her daughter’s life. She’s a smart, sweet and talented young lady with a bright future ahead. I knocked and as soon as the door opened, I got the most incredible hug from sweet L. My most favorite way to get greeted and she’s so good at giving them too… those genuine, thoughtful kind with a lovable squeeze. I always look forward to those hugs and my time with this family. They are the kind of people I like to call good eggs and with the light we got at their session I’d also like to add golden.
