He likes listening to classic rock & roll, watching old episodes of Doctor Who and reading whenever he gets a chance. He’s accomplished and mature beyond his years. An old soul that will not hesitate one second to share how much his Mom means to him {LOVE that}. What a joy it was to be around them both for his graduating senior session. As we traveled from spot to spot in Downtown Dallas, I really enjoyed learning more about him and his plans for the future. I love that we did portraits in his JROTC uniform and that we were able to incorporate his love of music. He was a *really* great sport as his main goal was to give his Mom some photos she could enjoy for many years to come. Mission accomplished… what a wonderful young man! He is already well on his way, but I wish him nothing but the best. PS – check out this behind the scenes photo that his sweet Mom took during the shoot. Such a fun afternoon!
THOSE EYES. THAT FIELD.| dallas, tx graduating senior portrait photography
And all of that beauty?! So, so awesome and Melena is just as sweet as her name, which I learned means “honey” in greek. I LOVE it! I could tell right away we were going to have a great time from our planning call and immediately knew we had to use this location to give her the natural look she wanted. I adore her easy going spirit and her ability to laugh and just have fun in whatever she is doing. Like this little video of her and her Mom… see, I told you, fun! 🙂 It was such a pleasure getting to work with her and I know she has a very bright future ahead. [Read more…]
BEAUTY & THE GARDEN| dallas, tx graduating senior portrait photography
It was chilly and windy, but the sun was shinning bright for Shana’s graduating senior portrait session. She handled all the elements perfectly and I just love how dreamy her images turned out at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. So lovely! And just when I thought the wind was going to blow her right into White Rock Lake, Shana wrestled those balloons into place and *bam*… perfect and so worth the effort! I had such a great time with her and her Mom, who was such a rockstar helper the whole shoot {thanks Mom!} and am so grateful that they chose me to help capture these images. Shana, I am beyond excited for you as you start this next chapter in your life… Wreck ’em Tech!!! [Read more…]
THE PERFECT MIX| dallas, tx graduating senior portrait photography
From Downtown Dallas to wildflowers, this session was the perfect mix of urban and natural settings for Taylor’s senior portraits. We worked together closely to create a unique session and I could not be happier with how everything turned out. And don’t you just love her in those yellow flowers?! We had to work hard to find them, but it was so worth it. Taylor, you are pure sunshine! Thank you for being so wonderful to work with. I really enjoyed our time together and wish you nothing but the best! [Read more…]
LIFE’S GREATEST BLESSING | dallas, tx family lifestyle photographer
… is the love of a family. The way they all look at each other and laugh together, it’s contagious and such a joy to be around. I have been looking forward to this ever since meeting them at big brother’s senior session in the Spring. Now that D is away at college, Mom and Dad wanted to be sure and get everyone together for family portraits during his visit home for Thanksgiving. Such a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday and how thankful they are for each other. It was a real treat to help capture that for them. And Mom totally deserves an award for coordinating everyone’s outfits… so stylish and perfect for our locations. Thank you B family for being *you*… I love the way you guys love. DOWNTOWN DUDE | dallas, tx graduating senior portrait photographer
As much as I love all things sunny, I’m also quite partial to lovely overcast days as well. You get such soft, filtered light and at this session we got to use some areas that I normally can’t touch because the sun is usually too strong… bonus!! It was a nice afternoon spent in Downtown Dallas with this soon-to-be graduating senior. I enjoyed hearing about his plans for college and listening to his great accent. 😉 He was super easy going and great to work with, much like his brother. I wish them both nothing but the best as they finish out their senior years and start the next chapters of their lives. See more images… [Read more…]
MCDARIS A/C & HEATING | dallas, tx commercial photographer
If you live in the Houston area and are ever in need of A/C or Heating services, you should definitely contact McDaris A/C & Heating. Such a great group! I loved working with them on getting updated photos for their website and who doesn’t like getting to hang out with Santa?! So awesome! It’s always a pleasure getting to work with family owned businesses, but this session was extra special and fun. I look forward to seeing how they use their images. 🙂

NEVER TOO LATE | lubbock, tx lifestyle photographer
Meet my cousin-in-law Matt… don’t I have the best looking family?! I really enjoyed catching up during our session going from spot-to-spot as we worked in some natural and urban settings. I love doing portrait sessions during my visits to Lubbock and getting to explore new locations. We had a great time and were definitely ready for a good mexican meal with family afterwards! 🙂 Although Matt never had a chance to get Senior Portraits done, it’s never too late. I’m so proud of him and all that he has already accomplished after graduating from college. He is doing great things with his life and has a very successful future ahead of him. And YES ladies, he’s single… just email him at… HA! Matt is going to kill me! I better stop while I’m ahead. But seriously such a great guy with an awesome family. I’m lucky to have them in my life!

A SISTER IS… | dallas, tx lifestyle photographer
… a little bit of childhood that can never be lost. ~Marion C. Garretty
You just can’t go wrong with gorgeous girls, a dirt road and an open West Texas field at sunset! This simple location made for a really amazing session and I love how the dirt road gave off such a lovely golden glow. And that awesome cracked texture.. {sigh}… there really is beauty all around us! We had a great time and it was really fun doing a session in my hometown, Lubbock. If you’ve never seen a West Texas sunset, you have to check this out. It just doesn’t get much better than that!
If you live in Lubbock and are interested in booking a session, please send me a note. I take a limited amount of sessions when I travel home and would love to work with you on creating a personalized and unique session. You can learn more about me here and my sessions here.

NEW YORK & NEW ADVENTURES | dallas, tx lifestyle photographer
This fun couple is headed to New York for new adventures and to start the next chapter in their lives. I absolutely admire them for following their dreams and making such a big move. It’s not easy putting yourself out there like that. I’m excited for them and I really enjoyed capturing this time in their lives before they head out of Texas. I love, love that they brought along two suitcases full of books to their session and that Chelsea included My First New York: Early Adventures in the Big City. So perfect! And we even got to play around with my Dad’s old Yashica Mat-124 for a creative shot. I wish them all the best and know that they are going to have a great time exploring the Big City.
