Waterfalls, ponds and the loveliest little courtyard lookout to enjoy it all. It’s a slice of paradise in the middle of the city and is something this sweet family loves about their neighborhood. And I can’t help but love it too and especially them. They were so great to work with and can you say beautiful?! It shines right from their cores. And these brothers, oh my… they were *so* funny! I enjoyed getting a glimpse of all of their personalities and how they interact as a family. You can feel their closeness and the love that they have for each other. They really are the sweetest. I hope they continue to enjoy the Dallas area as their new home and wish everyone a wonderful school year. Thank you H family for trusting me with your yearly family portraits… I loved every minute of it! [Read more…]
BEFORE THEY LEAVE | mckinney, tx family lifestyle photographer
All you need in the world is love and laughter. That’s all anybody needs. To have love in one hand and laughter in the other. -August Wilson
Both older brothers are headed off to college soon so Mom wanted to be sure and get everyone together for some pictures before they leave. And I absolutely adore how they turned out! So much love and laughter in these images and even an epic tickle war {see it in action below}. I had the pleasure of working with D and J last year for their senior portraits so it was awesome to have them in front of my lens again with Mom and siblings. I have really enjoyed getting to know this sweet family! As excited as the boys are to start this next chapter in their lives, I know that they are going to miss their family and their family is certainly going to miss them. Thank you B Family for spending an afternoon with me and for having so much fun doing it! [Read more…]
LIFE’S GREATEST BLESSING | dallas, tx family lifestyle photographer
… is the love of a family. The way they all look at each other and laugh together, it’s contagious and such a joy to be around. I have been looking forward to this ever since meeting them at big brother’s senior session in the Spring. Now that D is away at college, Mom and Dad wanted to be sure and get everyone together for family portraits during his visit home for Thanksgiving. Such a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday and how thankful they are for each other. It was a real treat to help capture that for them. And Mom totally deserves an award for coordinating everyone’s outfits… so stylish and perfect for our locations. Thank you B family for being *you*… I love the way you guys love. FAMILY LOVE IN BLOOM | dallas, tx family portrait photographer
I love this time of year and LOVED working with this fun, beautiful, sweet family! We could not have asked for better spring weather and Little Mr. was quite the entertainer… he had funny jokes and was a very helpful assistant during the shoot. 😉 It was such a fun time, I really enjoyed my time with them and love the images we got from their session. “Live the full life of the mind, exhilarated by new ideas, intoxicated by the romance of the unusual.” ~ Ernest Hemingway
From the moment I received Chloe’s Client Questionnaire, I knew we were going to have a great time. In fact, I’m pretty sure I squealed and did a little dance! I just love all of the wonderful props she brought for us to incorporate and her outfit choices could not have been more perfect… it’s all soooo *her*. Seriously folks, everything you see here are items that Chloe has collected over the years and was like… oh yeah, I have a typewriter I would like to bring and some books, cameras, suitcase, etc. And I was like… YESSSS, lets do this! HA! I loved every minute of it and spending time with Chloe and her sweet Mom was a real treat. *sigh* What a wonderful session! Thank you Chloe & Tiffany for being so amazing to work with and for trusting me to capture such an exciting chapter of your lives. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store! A SISTER IS… | dallas, tx lifestyle photographer
… a little bit of childhood that can never be lost. ~Marion C. Garretty
You just can’t go wrong with gorgeous girls, a dirt road and an open West Texas field at sunset! This simple location made for a really amazing session and I love how the dirt road gave off such a lovely golden glow. And that awesome cracked texture.. {sigh}… there really is beauty all around us! We had a great time and it was really fun doing a session in my hometown, Lubbock. If you’ve never seen a West Texas sunset, you have to check this out. It just doesn’t get much better than that!
If you live in Lubbock and are interested in booking a session, please send me a note. I take a limited amount of sessions when I travel home and would love to work with you on creating a personalized and unique session. You can learn more about me here and my sessions here.

SOMETHING SPECIAL | dallas, tx family lifestyle photographer
They definitely have something special going on and I love how you can see that in the images. I also love how naturally their session flowed that day and how super easy going everyone was. I felt like I was just there hanging out with my camera… it was awesome! And how cool is Hannah’s room!?! All of the fun bright colors and I especially like that she wore her sweet custom made Converse. She definitely has a great sense of style that fits her personality perfectly. And just for fun we did a few of these at the end of the session since Hannah’s a big time Hunger Games fan. From start to finish, it was a wonderful time! I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to be invited into client’s homes to help capture those special everyday moments. What an honor!

OVER THE RIVER & THROUGH THE WOODS | dallas, tx lifestyle family photographer
Well… we didn’t go to Grandma’s house but we sure did have a good time skipping rocks and playing by the water. I just love this family to pieces and geeezzzz they were such good sports for dealing with this HOT summer weather. They never complained once and were such a joy to work with! It was awesome getting to watch them interact with each other and seeing sister with her two big brothers just melts my heart. I especially love this image… so very sweet! *sigh*
